More details

ProCoat AQ is a chemical blend based on C12-14 polyoxyethylene (10) alcohol phosphate diethanolamine salt. The product is a corrosion inhibitor for water- based anti-corrosion paints .

The commercial product is a 50% transparent, yellow to dark brown solution. Its pH is between 6 and 8, the product therefore does not require neutralization before use.

As a leading corrosion inhibitor, ProCoat AQ effectively protects metal surfaces against corrosion . The addition of ProCoat AQ in the finished paint formulation achieves very good anti-corrosion properties of the coating, providing a long-term protective effect.

The product contains adhesion promoters , which ensure excellent adhesion of the coating , even when exposed to aggressive corrosive agents. Additionally, it has a positive effect on reducing paint blisters .

Due to its unique composition, ProCoat AQ can be used as an alternative to commonly used solid corrosion inhibitors , such as phosphates (including zinc phosphate), molybdates and borates. One of its greatest advantages is its very high effectiveness, obtained even at relatively low concentrations in the finished product.

It is particularly recommended for making coatings applied to steel surfaces . An undoubted advantage is the compatibility with other paint components, such as pigments, fillers, polymer dispersions and auxiliary agents.

Depending on the type of formulation, the recommended usage level is 0.5-2.0%.

The product is classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].

The product is subject to international transport regulations ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG/IATA.
